about us
Hey!
Welcome to c’Arles – your next creative obsession.
I’m Coffee (aka Bernard Amankwah), the creative mastermind behind this vibrant Ghanaian owned brand.
Our Story
c’Arles was born in 2025. The name holds a quiet duality, inspired by a childhood friend, Charles, who once stitched mini bags for me from scrap fabrics. That early spark of creativity left a lasting impression.
I wanted a name that echoed the sound of “colors” without spelling it out — something subtle and personal. So I merged Color with Charles, and c’Arles (pronounced Car-less) was born.
What It Means
c’Arles (noun): A word rooted in interplay, blending color, mastery, and self expression.
Our recipe?
We design cruelty free bags using conscious microfiber, a high-quality, soft, and durable material engineered with eco awareness in mind. We use it deliberately to rethink a material often overlooked, and elevate it through craft. Production is intentionally small, which means no wasteful overstock. Each piece is handcrafted in Ghana by local artisans who bring their creativity, precision, and individuality into every stitch. Their story is just as important as mine.
Our rhythm
We believe in slow fashion. That means we don’t release everything at once. We take our time with each design release so it can be seen, felt, and appreciated on its own. This pace honors the craft behind every piece and gives space for each story to breathe.
Our Mission
Our mission is to be both global and rooted — creating pieces that belong anywhere while carrying a story from home, effortlessly blending with diverse personalities and fitting seamlessly into everyday life.
And yes, these bags are for everyone. No gender rules here.

What’s Next?

As always, we’ll take our time — because good things should never be rushed.

Cheers,
Coffee
